Meet Sahil, our founder

Sahil moved to the US (in the early 2000s) to pursue a Master’s degree. Like most internationals, banks viewed him as ‘high risk’ and denied him access to the financial products. Not surprisingly, even today, the same issue exists. Traditional banks don’t see internationals as the future Arianna Huffington’s, Chamath Palahapitiya’s, Elon Musk’s, Eric Yuan’s, Indra Nooyi’s, Satya Nadela’s, Sundar Pichai’s of the world. Sahil quickly realized that there were thousands, if not millions of internationals that desired a more diverse, equitable and inclusive financial services industry. That’s when MYRA was born!

THE OPPORTUNITY

Internationals are strong contributors to the US economy. There are 50 million internationals that have $1 trillion of annual spending power, and pay $500 billion in annual taxes.
